Turkish Language Influences on Business
From International Business Wiki
Turkey is in a very important position in the business world. With their left borders next to Bulgaria and sharing its right border with Iran and Syria, Turkey serves as a gateway between Europe and Asia. Turkey took a large step forward on May 28, 1928 when they had the Dil Devrimi which is also referred to as the “language revolution.” It was on this date that the Turkish language was released but with the English form of lettering. The old form or writing was banned erasing the last remaining tie between the Ottoman Empires of old and the Turkey of today. This is very important for Turkish business because now since most business worldwide is either done in English or Chinese, the rest of the world would be able to better communicate with the Turks. Turkey in itself is not one of the business leaders but there is no doubt that they are still in a very important location in the world. With that being said their language is very important and influential because it is at such a crossroads of trade and business between Europe and Asia.
